How to read a prescription?
- OD / OS
- Right (oculus dexter) and left (oculus sinister) eye. A prescription always lists them separately.
- SPH (PWR)
- Spherical power in dioptres: “−” for short-sightedness, “+” for long-sightedness.
- CYL / AX
- Cylinder and axis – for toric (astigmatism) lenses only. If your prescription has none, leave them empty.
- BC
- Base curve (mm) – the curvature of the lens. Choose the one your eye care specialist prescribed.
- DIA
- Lens diameter (mm). Usually one per model.
- ADD
- Reading addition – for multifocal lenses only.
Huge range of choice - Air Optix Colors come in a variety of colours, including: sterling grey, gemstone green, brilliant blue, pure hazel, honey, grey, green, brown and blue.
Natural look enhancement - Colours are designed to blend with your natural eye colour, and the options available means that you can select the one most suited to you.
Visual correction options - Available in both vision and non-vision correction forms.
Lasting comfort - Air Optix Color’s silicone hydrogel material enables a good supply of oxygen to a wearer’s eyes, so they are comfortable during a day of wear.
Convenient and reusable - Monthly-use lenses that can wear them for up for 30 days, as long as they are removed, cleaned and stored correctly overnight after each day of use.
Air Optix Colors by Alcon are designed to enhance the look of your eyes, as well as for style, comfort and performance.
* Please note that the appearance of these lenses will vary depending on your eye colour.
Air Optix Color monthly contact lenses are recommended for:
- Non-vision correction wearers who want to enhance the aesthetic of their eyes - the lenses need to be fitted by an optician first.
- Prescription wearers who want to enjoy vision correction and aesthetic enhancement simultaneously.
Please always check with your optometrist first before purchasing new contact lenses that haven't been prescribed.
